Welcome to the official website of dave martinez photography - Here, I'll share with you my life's work as a photographer, as well as my photographic misadventures!
The (unconscious) beginnings of the photographer in me probably started when I was really small. One of my favorite toys was a film camera that I toyed around and just shoot. Fast forward to around the digital age, I got my first digital SLR (a Nikon D70), and this time, consciously fell in love with photography. Since then it's been a helluva ride. After all these years, I still feel in a way "naked" when I go out without a camera, it is almost like a necessity to at least bring one even if it is only an ordinary day, there is that constant longing inside that there might be something interesting to be captured today. And whenever I am shooting, I feel like I am in a trance - (stubborn & reckless!). Every after a tiring shoot, ironic as it seems, I feel recharged!
Photography is a ritual - it involves the heart, mind and soul. It is a holistic approach, one that involves all your senses. Put your heart and mind in it before clicking the shutter, and when it touches your soul, it is complete.

I think these two – bouquet and bokeh are closely linked and intertwined with each other. Don’t you think?
