“Sariwa” is a local dialect term for fresh, it usually refers to seafood… And Leyte and Samar is a place to go to when one is looking for the freshest seafood at very affordable prices.
This one was taken in Sulangan, Eastern Samar. Considering the geographic location of this town is facing the Pacific Ocean, there is abundance of seafood and it cannot be more “sariwa” than this I guess. We usually buy some on the way home, packed in a styro filled with ice… yum!
