Preparing for Christmas in the Philippines – I had some random shots through the years of Filipinos preparing for Christmas, but never really got something interesting – most likely I was preoccupied with a lot of other priorities then. Lately I was able to take some shots that I’d like to share, hopefully this time around they are better and worthy to be shared, these 3 photos were taken on different dates at different places, but as you can see there is a similarity in all them – Filipinos are drawn to the Christmas decors as a symbol of joy and hope as they celebrate the birth of Jesus on the 25th. Regardless of the socio-economic conditions, I can see the Filipino’s values of strong will, cooperation and spirit of camaraderie.
Just like in photography, I hope your preparation of Christmas encompasses the physical preparations and tangible aspects of life, I hope it touches your spirit and soul. Rejoice for God is with us!
