I spotted this old car parked in a parking lot beside the highway, I quickly grabbed my camera and shoot. I used the Nikkor AFS 24mm 1.4 here. I really (2x) like how this lens renders – something I can’t explain well – most likely the combination of a wide angle and large aperture, it renders three-dimensionally and film-like! This is (/was hehe) my latest lens added to my bag and I can say truly this is quickly becoming one of my favorite lenses surpassing some others. Admittedly this is not an easy lens to handle, at 24mm wide angle, it’s already pretty wide and a bit more challenging to compose especially when compared to the favored focal lengths like 35mm and 50mm. But I love the challenge. The difficulty in shooting at F/1.4 adds up the spice. I’ll be shooting with this lens some more in the weeks to come, by then I’ll share more shots.
For the meantime, here are some shots, no fancy lights, no reflectors, just the camera, lens, me and the subject (and of course, all wide open):
