I was raised in an era of 80’s and 90’s rock music… and was always fond of the heavy metal grunge sound. Not to say that I don’t dig other genre of music, I listen from ABBA to U2, from Don Moen to Joe Satriani… but this type of music has stayed in my blood streams as far as I can remember – through the good times and the bad haha. The good ol’ music of your time creates nostalgia and de ja vu that we can connect to, a time machine of some sort, just like photography… I think that’s why music and photography are closely knitted in me. I love to play the electric guitar again someday, that “frustrated musician” in me calls my name and I have to listen… Photography has a parallelism to this, sometimes when the subject speaks, and we don’t hear it… it’s gone. We need to listen.
