Here are more photos at the Grand Santa Cruzan this year. It was fun (need I say?) shooting in black and white, with one lens, with a rangefinder camera… most of the subjects were moving and it was quite a chore nailing the focus at F/1.4… but at the end of the day (night), I’m glad to get a high percentage of keepers. Back in the DSLR days, I would most likely be shooting autofocus continuous (AFC) at 9 frames-per-second (fps) like a machine gun of some sort. The rangefinder let me slow down and make the shot, not just to get the shot, hopefully sssshhh… I’m getting the hang out of it, it further attests as one of the best photographic experiences I have, unexpectedly!
