Here are some more photos I would like to share taken during the “I do. I do. Araw ng Pag-IBIG” – a 100 Couples Wedding by Pag-IBIG Fund on February 14, 2013 at the Kyle’s Restobar in Tacloban City. It was a unique experience for having been able to shoot 100 couples exchanging vows on Valentine’s Day, what more can be said? Congratulations to the organizers of this event, I’m very definite that this event has made an impact to at least 100 couples’ lives for the rest of their lives.
Photographically speaking, I felt my best keepers were shot in black and white, and forcing me to shoot in purely black and white has kept me focused on the essentials – the composition, the emotions and the moment – for better or for worse (?) – no pun intended, haha. I would probably have gotten away with the usual full spectrums of color like the other cameras I have, but I think I’ll stick with the limitations set by a purely monochrome camera, it felt more nostalgic and having to concentrate the world only in shades of gray has become both a challenge and a joy altogether.
I guess love is (color) blind after all.
