Misadventure: Manila Floods

My misadventures continue… This time it was the Manila floods last August 2012. Am I blessed? Hahahaha. Yes, I think so.

I was in Manila when the relentless rains were storming the metropolis. I was stranded, two times! First I was stranded in the taxi for 3 hours. Got home soaking wet around 11:00pm. The rain and wind were still strong, I had to literally ran for about a couple of hundred meters since the taxi couldn’t drive me to the doorstep because of elevated waters. The water level was already above knee, it proved to be difficult for cars to go through.

Photographically speaking…. I’m glad I invested on the Micro 4/3s system. It’s so small and convenient that I can bring it everyday. If I didn’t have a camera this portable, I was definite I wouldn’t haul my DSLR for a rainy day.
