Happy Fiesta! Today we celebrate the feast day of the Patron of Tacloban City, the Senior Santo Niño of Tacloban. The city is in its highest peak of festive mood and I’m just lucky to be able to shoot a lot of events here and there.
There are times when you take a shot and you whisper to yourself “This is it, i got the shot!”. In every shooting day I go, I always try to look for that particular shot. Before I even download the raw files to the computer, I have to choose my favorite shot of the day. And it sometimes come the least expected, totally unplanned moment, and when you get that shot, it is very fulfilling!
I have here a shot that probably would best exemplify and summarize the festivities and celebration of the fiesta this year, this was totally not in my agenda of the day (/night), I was shooting another event, and nearby I spotted this old woman trying to fly her sky lantern, I couldn’t have just let this moment pass without at least capturing it. I’m ever grateful that I had my camera that very moment. I hope you like this just as much as I do:
