What about Fuji colors? You must have heard it somewhere by now (if not, you are probably too young for this haha, which is good btw). I have used a Fuji DSLR before and got in loved with the Fuji rendering of colors and especially on skin tones, they are just on a different league. The Fuji S5 Pro was probably the only body, if my memory serves me right, that I had total confidence in shooting purely on JPEG mode. All other cameras I have used until this very minute – I always shoot in RAW. The one quirk I had – was the responsiveness of the camera in terms of speed, handling and operations – hence I had to let it go somewhere, for my kind of work which I’m always on the go, I had to have a camera that was responsive enough to my “hyper” behaviour, LOL. Around the same story and quirks about Fuji’s recent offerings like the Fuji X Pro 1 has also been plagued with slow AF and similarly the Fuji X100 early on have suffered from software bugs. Giving credit to Fuji, they have released firmware upgrades for their cameras giving much improvement over the previous version. The X system of the Fuji seems promising, and for a mirrorless fanatic as I am, I’m keeping a close look. The newly announced Fuji XE-1 might creep into my bag someday, who knows? I hope so (/not).
