One of the aging questions is – Film or Digital?
I’m not here to go into the technical advantages and disadvantages of either, but I will just say my piece…
There’s no absolute way to go, even if digital has matured enough and has advantages that far outweighs the use of film anymore. To each on his/her own… I, for one, will stick to film if that’s what my heart says. It does not even mean that if one fails to adopt to digital, his photography is doomed to die one day. No! You cannot take away a passion from someone’s heart just by technological advantages. Though I’m a purely digital photographer so to speak, and an advocate of that, I still see the value of film. Some photos are just screaming for film grain, some types of photography just begs for film, and most of all, some photographers find more meaning, value and soul in doing there photography in the traditional manner.
A serious side note, I’ll rekindle film one of these days, hopefully and God-willing I’m gonna pick a Nikon F camera, just, just, just for the love of photography. Cheers!
Photographer’s note: F/1.8, 1/100, ISO 1600, Panasonic G3, Olympus 45mm 1.8
