Earthquake on August 31, 2012 in Tacloban City

The 7.7-7.9 magnitude earthquake on August 31, 2012 that hit Tacloban was the strongest quake I felt in my life and hopefully that was the first and last. Although the epicenter was in Sulangan, Eastern Samar, about 3.5 hours from Tacloban, it was still very strong. It was terrifying that everyone panicked and didn’t really know what to do. My instinct was to secure everybody else during the quake to a safer place, grabbed my mobile phone for the flash light feature… and guess what? Yes you guessed it right, I grabbed for my camera too LOL! gggrrr…. Crazy Dave.

Here’s praying and hoping that you’ll be safe and sound in the weeks to come. Have a calm, still and quake-free days ahead!
