Batu Caves, Malaysia

Batu Caves, Malaysia – featuring 272-steps to climb up to the cave, 13 kilometers north of Kuala Lumpur. A gigantic statue of Lord Murugan hovers in front of the cave. One of the most popular Hindu shrines outside India, it is flocked by hundreds of thousands of devotees during its festival. Along the way up, there are monkeys that can be spotted. Bring extra clothing, most likely you’ll end up sweaty after. Photographically speaking, I suggest you to bring an ultra wide angle lens, and a fast prime would be needed inside for the dark ambience of the cave. Definitely worth the climb up!
