I was in Sulangan, Eastern Samar the other week. A glimpse of the barrio life there certainly awakens ones senses that life is sometimes taken into the fast lane. I felt the laid back approach of the barrio life in Sulangan to be awakening. I sometimes long for that re-awakening, like a reminder. We are carried away by the chaos of the urban life, and it can sometimes be downright stressful. Once in a while we need to refresh our senses and view the things around us on a different perspective. Sometimes it’s good to slow down a bit and take a slower approach to life in general. Just like in photography, slow down, anticipate for the moment before capturing it forever. Carpé diem!
